Mercy Health Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon

Event Marketing + Branding

Mercy Health hosts an annual volunteer recognition event to celebrate the people who give their time, energy and care to the hospital and its patients. For this luncheon, Mercy Health selected the event theme and trusted The Red Tornado Collective to bring it to life through event branding, printed materials, signage, table styling and guest experience details.

With more than 300 attendees expected, the event needed to feel organized, professional and warm while still reflecting the fun, celebratory tone of the chosen theme.

The Challenge

Mercy Health had a clear event concept, but needed support turning that idea into a cohesive experience across every guest touchpoint. From the invitation to the room setup, each piece needed to feel connected, branded and appropriate for a large-scale volunteer appreciation luncheon.

The goal was to create an event environment that honored volunteers in a meaningful way while keeping the experience polished, welcoming and easy to navigate.

The Creative Direction

The luncheon theme had a golf-inspired feel, so we carried that concept through the design in a way that felt elevated rather than gimmicky. Blue, green, gold and white were used throughout the event materials to stay connected to the Mercy Health brand while creating a bright, celebratory atmosphere.

Golf-inspired touches appeared in the centerpieces, printed materials and table design, giving the room a custom event feel without losing the professional tone expected from a hospital-hosted recognition event.

What We Did

The Red Tornado Collective developed and executed a full visual direction for the event, using Mercy Health’s established brand colors and the luncheon theme as the foundation.

Our work included:

  • Invitation design

  • Event menu design

  • Guest recognition materials

  • Directional signage

  • Reserved table signage

  • Welcome signage

  • Bag tags and gift packaging

  • Table styling

  • Centerpiece styling

  • Branded event details throughout the room

The Result

The final event design created a cohesive, branded experience for more than 300 volunteers and guests. Every piece worked together, from the first invitation guests received to the signage, table settings, menus, gift packaging and room décor they experienced at the luncheon.

The event felt intentional, organized and celebratory, giving Mercy Health a polished way to honor the volunteers who serve their hospital community.
